Within the 4th meeting of the Association Council EU - Republic of Moldova, European Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn spoke of the macro-financial assistance and that it might be offered by June, if all conditions stated in the memorandum will be met.

"Regarding the macro-financial assistance, 2 terms remain that have yet to be implemented from the memorandum. First of all, national integrity authority is not fully functional, but is still in the recruiting process. Then we speak of supplementing the budget for anticorruption institutions to be able to function.

It is very important for IMF to make a favorable evaluation, according to our evaluations it could be brought into force in June. If those two conditions I speak of are met by the end of May, what I think is feasible and provided we have a memorable report from the IMF, the first payment should be made in June, otherwise it will be delayed to autumn" Johanes Hahn said.
