Anti-corruption officers (CNA) and prosecutors have detained two military trainers employed by the University from the southern town of Cahul for selling military rank certificates.
They issued the certificates to students, who had never attended the instruction courses or sworn any oath.
Some students even were abroad, but got the certificates anyway.
The certificates enable holders to accede to higher military ranks.
The suspects were caught red-handed as they were receiving a bribe of EUR100.
Now they face imprisonment of up to ten years plus a hefty fine.
