Ministry of Internal Affairs is celebrating State Flag Day
Republic of Moldova is celebrating State Flag Day. Each year, on April 27, Ministry of Internal Affairs, the staff honors Tricolor and proudly places the State Flag at each of the institution's subdivision.
"For this flag fought our predecessors, our veterans, for us to be able to enjoy today our true national values, people dedicated years, strength and event their lives for us to stand here today. After 1990 tricolor represents the independence and sovereignty of Republic of Moldova, to all our citizens. For the staff of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who sworn in front of the tricolor, it is more than a simply symbol, it represents the strength, beauty, dedication and courage in their daily activities" Minister of Internal Affairs, Alexandru Jizdan said.
Today, the events for this holiday begun with flowers being laid within the Ministry of Internal Affairs, at the monument of fallen heroes. Later, the Ministry's administration, along with chiefs of departments, veterans and employees have walked to the monument of fallen policemen located in Valea Morilor Park, where flowers were laid and the tricolor was placed.
PUBLIKA.MD reminds that the State Flag of the Republic of Moldova was officially designated on 27 April 1990 by late deputy Gheorghe Ghimpu.
20 years later, Parliament of the Republic of Moldova voted to name this date State Flag Day.
At the end of the 80s, Tricolor became the symbol of national rebirth.
The blue represents hope and stability, yellow for material and spiritual values and red for eternal fire and blood shed in the name of freedom.
