Moldova and Poland to intensify bilateral relations
Prime Minister Pavel Filip and Prime Minister of Poland, Mateusz Morawiecki has examined today the possibility to consolidate the cooperation between Moldova and Poland, during a meeting in Munich.
PM Pavel Filip has remarked the efficient partnership in the area of European integration and appreciated that on 28 February 2018, the Moldova - Poland Fund for European integration will be relaunched. In the terms of placing Republic of Moldova on the agenda of discussions within the EU reunion of the Council for Foreign Affairs from 26 February 2018, Pavel Filip spoke of the importance to promote equilibrated talks regarding the situation from our country, taking into consideration the progress in reform implementation.
Here, Mateusz Morawiecki declared that Poland will offer Republic of Moldova all the needed support to promote the European agenda for reforms. The officials has also appreciated Republic of Moldova for supporting Poland in being chosen as non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.
The two officials have also agreed to make trade more dynamic, specifying that, despite them having doubled during January - September 2017, there is still unaccounted potential.
At the end of the meeting, Prime Minister Pavel Filip expressed his gratitude for the financial assistance Poland offered within the Development Assistance Program. Moldova benefits from Poland's support in eight key areas, among which counts: good governance, democracy, agriculture and rural development.
