Moldova and Romnia will intensify collaboration to improve financial management
Republic of Moldova and Romania will intensify experience and good practices exchange, on monitoring how public money are spend and ensuring efficient collaboration between the Government and Court of Accounts. It will result in improvement of financial management.
Prime Minister Pavel Filip spoke today with presidents of the Court of Accounts from Republic of Moldova and Romania, Veaceslav Untilă and Mihai Busuioc.
Prime Minister accentuated that rational usage of public resources is the main aim of the executive. Here were mentioned the transfer, resulted after a reform, of the jurisdiction of supervising external assistance toward Ministry of Finance.
"The ministries will be able to correctly prioritize certain areas, while Finance Ministry will identify the most optimal solutions for financing" Prime Minister explained.
The official also spoke of the importance reports from the Court of Accounts for the Government.
"This is examined and objective information. We always draw conclusions and try to never be late in taking actions" Prime Minister explained.
At the moment, works are being performed for the institutionalization of a process to monitor the decisions of the Court of Accounts. Here, Romania's models and practices are crucial.
President of the Romanian Court of Accounts declared that relations between authorities in the field of the two states are excellent, as well as the Moldova-Romania relations. Mihai Busuioc welcomed the activity of the Court of Accounts in our country, especially the communication, report presentation and ensuring a positive image for the institution. At the same time, the Romanian official mentioned that twinning projects implemented within the institutions have contributed to its modernization.
The parties also spoke of the projects realized in Moldova with Romania's support, among which counts border rehabilitation, school buses donation, renovation of multiple cultural centers. Prime Minister Pavel Filip once again expressed his gratitude for the offered support, as well as for Romania's understanding regarding the situation from Republic of Moldova and the care it shows when forwarding messages to European institutions.
