Investments in medical services and equipment. This is objective no. 1 of the Ministry of Health, which will soon begin a comprehensive reform of the hospitals. The aim of the project is, first of all, to reduce administrative costs and rationalize the work of specialists. As a result, doctors will have better working conditions and wages will gradually increase.
"The medical system and hospital system must be reformed, that does not mean that the hospitals will be closed but the hospitals will be transformed. We need to invest in quality services, in medical equipment and not in walls or empty spaces, "Boris Gâlcă, State Secretary of the Ministry of Health
"Global health spending in 2012-2016 has risen from year to year by about 1.3. And according to forecasts, from 2017 to 2021, we expect tripling of this annual increase in health, "said Olga Şchiopu, president of the Union of Private Medical and Sanitary Institutions.
The representative of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development said that the financial institution currently provides support for the development of hospitals in 38 countries and that Moldova can benefit from this program at any time.
"The external community, practically donors have the moral opportunity to share with their knowledge, both financially and through consultancy to ensure the development of this sector," said Alexandru Cosovan, EBRD's principal banker
