After his visit in Strasbourg, Iurie Leancă declared that a declaration was approved for Moldova to receive more benefits from EU.

EU - RM Parliamentary Association Committee has approved at the end of last week, a declaration stating that Republic of Moldova, Ukraine and Georgia requires additional benefits to make more progress in reform implementation regarding the free trade agreement.

Within this declaration, especially paragraph 24, accentuates the importance of offering additional benefits to deepen relations between EU and the Eastern Partnership. Among the new opportunities counts the creation of a fiduciary fund for Moldova, Ukraine and Georgia, meant to finance public and private projects in social and economic infrastructure.

It also includes the removal of roaming and creating a single large network. Moreover, the declaration indicates the long-term perspectives of adhering to European Union and connecting to the electricity market of member states.

Moreover, other opportunities for Moldova, Ukraine and Georgia are also mentioned: joining the Schengen area, integration into EU transport networks, creation of industrial partnerships or increased participation in EU programs and agencies.

The EU-Moldova Parliamentary Association Committee also recommend the countries to continue reform process, fights against corruption and avoid society polarization next year when the election is carried out.
