Moldovan prime minister makes sure anti-flood dams will stay firm (PHOTO GALLERY)
Premier Pavel Filip has asked the Dubasari district authorities to make sure the flood-protection dam along the villages of Doroţcaia, Coşniţa, Pârâta and Pohrebea, is going to resist against any possible rising of the water in the Nistru river.
The district administration has briefed the Cabinet chief the dam is in a satisfactory situation, as more barriers are being fortified.
The Government has allocated 600,000 lei in this respect.
The protection dam in Dubăsari district is 37 km long and safeguards about 3,000 hectares against floods.
