More and more Moldovans get sick of gastroenterocolitis.

In the first six months of 2017, the figure grew almost double compared to the same period last year. Acute gastroenterocolitis is a condition characterized by inflammation of the stomach, small intestines, and colon.

Children aged below 17 are the most easily getting exposed to illness. They accounted for 93 per cent of the total number of patients diagnosed with this disease in the first six months.  One of major causes of the contamination is late check-up.

To avoid illness, specialists advise people to use fresh food and heat up cold food.
