Moldovans will easier cross border with Romania
The Moldovans will be able to easier cross the Romanian border. Starting 2017, the customs offices from Moldova’s Cahul and Romania’s Oancea will merge, as the checking will be performed by joint Moldo-Romanian teams.
The details have been broached today by the intergovernmental economic committee of the two Cabinets.
"A single customs checkup has been discussed leading to purging two checkups. It will enhance the traffic of passengers and goods between Romania and Moldova," said Romanian Economy Minister Costin Borc.
Such a checking office already functions at the Ukrainian border at the Criva-Mamaliga crossing point.
It’s been also today that the customs authorities of the two countries signed a protocol to their cooperation accord meant to speed up fighting fraud.
