More Moldovans stray from western medicine and lean toward traditional Chinese one
More and more citizens of Moldova, who suffer from heart, nervous system and bone disease, lean toward traditional Chinese medicine. The treatment offered by experts from Traditional Chinese Medicine Center from Chisinau is highly appreciated, patients benefit there from acupuncture, therapeutic massage and phytotherapy.
Galina Botezatu, 70, is using acupuncture to ease kidney pains. The woman claims that the procedures are more efficient than drugs.
"I use acupuncture and teas to support my health. I was not scared even once, the doctors are experiences and you barely feel anything" patient Galina Botezatu declared.
Chinese experts claim that during the treatment, patients must be relaxed and well rested.
"Truth to be told, everyone fears needles, as it pierces skin. We insert the needle less for first time patients" chief of the acupuncture ward, Jin Jianjun said.
From nearly 200 Chinese medicinal herbs, specialists brew tea for each patient, depending on their illness.
"Moldovans prefer teas from our plants. A patient once even compared them to wine, claiming that they have the same effect on their health" phytotherapy doctor, Zhang LI Juan said.
Traditional Chinese Medicine Center from Chisinau has been opened in 2011, after the Government from Beijing offered a grant to our authorities. The cost of one procedure at the clinic starts from 135 lei.
"We gain more young clients by each passing year. It would be great to use traditional Chinese medicine for prophylaxis" director of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Center from Chisinau, Victoria Şimon declared.
At the moment, the Center offered its services to 30 000 patients.
