OSCE envoy for Transnistrian settlement discusses with Reintegration deputy premier
Solving the problems of the inhabitants on the Dniester’s banks is a priority for both the Reintegration Bureau and the OSCE mission to Moldova. Other pivotal issues are free travel within the Security Zone, the situation of the Romanian-language schools in the area, and insuring farmers’ access to their fields over a motorway in the region.
Such statements have been made at a reunion between the OSCE’s special envoy, Wolf Dietrich Heim, with Reintegration vice premier Gheorghe Bălan.
"Our joint efforts are going to contribute to improving the people’s life. We would like these efforts to lead to settling the Transnistrian conflict in 2017, but, being realists, we hope to attain several tangible results," the Reintegration deputy premier said.
Tomorrow, the OSCE envoy from Austria will meet with officials from Tiraspol and a range of ambassadors in Chisinau.
