PDM leader Vlad Plahotniuc: We must learn living in mutual tolerance, in respect and harmony
The leader of the Democratic Party from Moldova (PDM), Vlad Plahotniuc, has addressed the people attending the concert on the Great National Assembly Square in Chisinau.
"It’s a big party here. The PDM team and I have come to greet you and wish you have a nice holiday and bring this gift to you. A concert joining artists from Moldova, Europe and Russia.
We’ll celebrate both the Victory day and Europe’s Day. Through this double holiday we want to send a very important message to all the citizens: we must learn living in mutual tolerance, in respect and harmony.
As a people we must show dignity, political and social wisdom. We must finally get out of the geopolitical disunion the country is kept captive in for years.
I bring my gratitude to the ones having fought and died in the bloody years of the war, bringing us the peace, bringing the victory, which enabled the construction of a strong Europe, we, Moldova, are part of.
I want to congratulate all the ones marking May 9, regardless of the significance to attach to this day. This event must make us united, strong and determined. It’s the only way to modernize Europe," stated PDM president, Vlad Plahotniuc.
The Vlad Plahotniuc descended to the people to talk and make pictures with them.
As many as 50,000 people attend the concert on the main square, according to the police.
