Person, arrested, following anti-corruption raid at Economy Ministry
An employee of Economy Ministry has been arrested for 30 days being suspected in an inquest related to the management of a jewel making company.
Other three people have been subpoenaed by anti-corruption prosecutors as suspects.
The arrested is accused in capacity as the manager of liquidating process of the jewel making company Giuvaer, owned by the state. The employee allegedly auctioned goods not belonging to him/her.
The Economy Ministry has the status of founder of the firm.
The alleged corruption case has been notified by Prime Minister Pavel Filip, who had requested an investigation into the matter.
If the employee is found guilty, he/she faces a sentence of up to 6 years plus a huge fine.
