Persons with severe disabilities will benefit from the home care service and a monthly allowance of 820 lei. The government approved the bill that provides for it on Wednesday. The document will enter into force on 1 September.

According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, the measure will improve living standards of these persons.

Officials say 270 people will benefit from these allowances which acquire around 880,000 lei.

The amount will be covered from transfers from the state budget to the social security budget for this year.
