PM Maia Sandu has confirmed to raise taxes in 2020 in order to comply with the International Monetary Fund conditions. However, citizens will know further information in the future, says the PM.
"When we have the approval of the team from Washington, Government and the mission will publicize the information. We will do everything we can to protect people with low income even when the taxes increase", said PM Sandu.
Finance Minister Natalia Gavriliţa reasoned the tax increase to maintain wage payment and relations with development partners.
Last October, the Filip government reformed the tax law including the new calculation quota of income tax.
