A criminal gang has been caught bringing heroine from Ukraine and selling it Chişinău. The police held five suspects over the weekend.

The head of the gang was cuffed shortly after he had sold 50 grams of narcotics. 

"They used to buy from the gang leader big quantities worth 2,400 lei. But it grew much more expensive for the final user: 3.500-4,000 lei, depending on the dealer,” said a prosecutor probing the case.

Those five have been arrested for 30 days and now face sentences of up to 15 years of jail.
