Police signed agreement in support of victims of violence

Victims of domestic violence will benefit from free psychological assistance in a social center from Ciuciuleni village, Hincesti district. Police signed a collaboration agreement with this institution which provides for the timely assistance necessary for people who are subjected to domestic violence.
Agreement between the police and government social center was signed in November.
In the center, victims can receive care at least half a year. Since 2015 the institution has already hosted 30 people.
"They can be at the center for about six months, but when they have nowhere to stay we provide stay for more." , said chief social center, Valentina Geamana.
"We have to prove that women can have a different attitude and opportunity. To help them in different situations as to fend for themselves" , said the social Center founder, Peter Lanthaler.
Recently, the center received a donation of 300,000 lei. The money was collected from a charity concert. The event's organizer was Vlad Plahotniuc's "Edelweiss" Foundation. Of this amount, 100,000 lei represents Plahotniuc's personal donation.
