Prime Minister Pavel Filip has requested the army to clear the roads as the yellow warning of heavy snow was issued in the country. 

"IGP and INP will ensure the mobilization of the police and help people while being stuck on the road, will support the big trucks for road safety", said Prime Minister Pavel Filip.

At the request of Prime Minister Pavel Filip, Defense Minister Eugen Sturza instructed the National Army to mobilize the troops and the special equipment from the National Army to participate in the snow removal and unblocking works on the national roads.

Accordingly, three teams of KRAZ and KAMAZ military units from Codru Battalion from Negreşti, Străşeni, intervened on the M14 national route to pull out some blocked vehicles in the area of Grebleşti.

Until 19:30, six trucks and six people were unlocked. Defense Minister Eugen Sturza and Commander of the National Army, Brigadier General Igor Cutie, went on the spot to inspect unlocking and snow removal works.

Also, the soldiers of the 4th Air Force Battalion from Căuşeni investigate the route Ştefan Vodă - Tudora - Palanca and will intervene in case of necessity to remove the stuck cars.
