Around 1095 family doctors have requested to be given license to practice medicine, of which 46 applied for the independent exercise of the profession of family doctor, 17 - for the establishment of the Family Doctors's Cabinets and 29 opted for Centers for Family Physicians .

Three Family Doctors' individual cabinets are already contracted by the National Health Insurance Company and operate from 1 January 2019.

The goal of the Primary Health Care Reform is to provide family doctors to all localities in the country and to increase the quality of primary health services.
