Prime Minister Pavel Filip vows to help restoring Botanical Garden
Prime Minister Pavel Filip talked about the damages caused by the heavy snowfalls and the citizens’ sticking together on a show of the national television.
The Premier remarked the efficient work of the Crisis Celland the citizens’ getting mobilized, who helped the rescuers in cleaning up Chisinau: "Apart from sadness, I am also proud of the Chisinau inhabitants, who tidied up courtyards and removed the branches. The works will go on on Saturday and Sunday and I call again on people to give a helping hand.”
He also said the authorities will pay attention to remove the damages from the Botanical Garden of Chisinau: "The real damages will never be assessed. It’s not only the money, the trees need time to grow again so that the garden enlivens. We’ll find money and will ask for foreign aid to rebuild this garden and make it even more beautiful.”
The calamity severely affected 80% of the rare trees in the Botanical Garden, as about $500,000 are needed to reestablish it.
