Professional evaluation for customs officers: 100 employees fail examination
One in ten customs officers failed the test of professional evaluation this year. And it was probably one of the reasons why a third of the Customs Service employees remained jobless.
The management is confident that the reorganization of the institution and verification of employees will increase the efficiency and therefore the state budget will get more money.
Until the change of leadership of the Customs Service, nearly 50 percent of employees were tested only at their employment and a quarter never went on an exam training. The new general manager decided to change this situation.
One hundred of the more than a thousand service employees have failed the exam.
PUBLIKA.MD reminds that in 2016, 63 customs officers got under investigation for corruption. In all cases, the internal security department of the Customs Service cooperated with investigators.
