Sanitary items worth of ONE MILLION LEI discovered by Customs officers

Sanitary items worth of 500,000 lei have been smuggled and discovered by the mobile teams of Customs Service employees in a minibus driven by a 34-year-old Moldovan.
The detention took place near the Floreni village.
The smuggled items were purchased at "Kilometer 7" market in Odessa, Ukraine and brought into the country.
The minibus driver was detained for 72 hours. If found guilty, he risks up to ten years in prison.
