Searches conducted at Sculeni border crossing point
(UPDATE 11:50) Six other people have been detained, by this time, by National Anti-Corruption Center and corruption prosecutors in a corruption case targeting actions committed by employees of Sculeni and Ungheni customs offices.
Among those detained are two shift officers from the Sculeni customs post and four customs officers.
In total, 10 customs officers are detained for 72 hours on suspicion of corruption actions.

The Ungheni Customs Office chief, the deputy chief of Ungheni Customs Office, a shift manager at Sculeni customs post and a customs inspector have been detained.
Action continues with searches at multiple addresses.
Sculeni customs post is already unlocked and operating as normal.
(8:32) Sculeni Customs post was closed the morning, December 12th, for searches by anti-corruption prosecutors and NACC officers.
Raids occur in Ungheni town and Chisinau.
The actions aim to find illegal activity of customs officials, appearing in a corruption case.
PUBLIKA.MD recalls that in early November, prosecutors have closed Sculeni and Leuseni checkpoint. Then, 30 people have been detained, 14 customs officers, 3 border guards, six operators and seven drivers.
