Secretaries of State of Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure met with Czech Ambassador to Moldova
Secretaries of State of Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, Iuliana Drăgălin and Anatol Usatîi, have met today with Czech Ambassador to Moldova, Zdeněk Krejčí to speak of bilateral cooperation.
Representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure have appreciated the recent bilateral economic relations, mentioning that the amount of trade between Republic of Moldova and Czech Republic increased by 16%, while import by 21% since 2016.
It was also mentioned that Republic of Moldova is interested in expanding cooperation with Czech Republic. Here, the participation of business environment from both countries in bilateral forums and international expos will facilitate in promoting import and export, create an attractive investment climate, therefore maximizing the economic cooperation potential between Moldova and Czech Republic.
Ambassador Zdeněk Krejčí reiterated his country's interest in expanding bilateral relations in various areas, mentioning that the 4th session of the intergovernmental Committee Republic of Moldova - Czech Republic is planned for the second half of 2018, in Prague. A Bilateral Business Forum will also be organized during this event.
Entrepreneurs from Republic of Moldova will also be able to participate at international engineering, machine tools, measurement and control technologies, automation technologies expos, that will take place in Brno.
During the meeting, the parties have spoken of the project for road rehabilitation Chișinău – Ungheni – Sculeni, financed by European Investment Bank, especially the stages of implementation with the participation of Czech companies and fulfillment of contractual obligations of both parties.
According to official data, at the moment, in Republic of Moldova are activating 53 Czech enterprises, worth around 6 million lei.
