Rescuers and firefighters will receive serviced apartment. Today was launched the works to build a block meant for them, it will be located on Gheorghe Asachi street from the Capital.

The block will be modern, having both a gym and parking. The big surprise was that seven rescuers have already received keys to apartments located in a block from Valea Apelor street, Chisinau.

Among the lucky families is Glodea, who lived to this point with their parents and three children. The spouses claimed that they dreamed of moving out for a while now.

"We are very grateful for this project and the chance it offers us to gain a home here and boosts our wish to work for this country and develop it" rescuer Lilian Glodea said.

The family already knows how the new house needs to be:

"It must be spacious, with a kitchen and all the necessities."

"It must have a table where I can do my homework, furniture and a comfortable bed."

Rescuers claim that this gesture proves one again that their work matters, which encourages them.

"We are emotional. We are thanking God for this chance to have our own house. We are thankful to the Government. It allows us to continue our professional activity" rescuer Gheorghe Petica said.

Head of Civil Protection and Exceptional Situations Service, Mihai Harabagiu, mentioned that other houses will be built.

"This is a first successful step and at the moment we already have another two fields selected for such projects. One is located on Cucorilor 49 street, Chisinau, while another on Alecu Dundici street, in Bălţi" Mihai Harabagiu declared.

"Throughout those two years, of your mandate, this subject was touched many times, but today's event proves that it was not empty talk and that there is the will to support the people who are serving their country" Minister of Internal Affairs, Alexandru Jizdan said.

Prime Minister Pavel Filip declared that the Government will not stop here and will develop other projects, so that public servants will be able to gain their own houses.

"We are thinking of the second stage of the First House project, meant for public servants, where the state will not only guarantee 50% of the mortgage loan, but will also pay 50% of the cost of the house" the official declared.

The complex will be build within a public-private partnership. A total of 54 families will receive 1 and 2 room apartments. The block will be build by the end of 2019.
