Cacti began blossoming due to high temperatures in the last period in the Botanical Garden. 

Visitor to Botanical Garden will have chance to view over 900 cacti species. Some of them already flourished. However, they only last for a few days.

"Firstly, mother plants start to blossom. The most abundant period of blossoming is the end of March, April, May, but the flowering time is quite short, 1 - 2 days", explained Valentina Țîmbalî, the chief of plant laboratory of the Botanical Garden.

Those who grow their cacti at home near a computer make a big mistake, experts say.

"Those cacti that are kept close to the computer don't grow normally, they don't flourish as well", said Valentina Țîmbalî. 

The largest cacti of the Botanical Garden is four meters high and ready to bloom. 

Over 200 cacti bear fruits from the entire cacti collection at the Botanical Garden.
