Stolen car from France stopped at Albiţa Customs
A Renault car that is considered stolen was stopped at Albiţa-I.T.P.F. Iași crossing point. The driver had a double citizenship, from Romania and Republic of Moldova.
After checking, Romanian border police officers have established that the car is considered stolen, law enforcement being alerted in France on 28th December 2017, while the registration plates were replaced.
The 25-year-old driver declared that he purchased the car in France for 3 400 euro and did not known that it was actually stolen or implicated in any lawsuit.
The car was confiscated, while investigation continues.
