Thirteen schools and three kindergartens quarantined due to COVID-19
13 educational institutions in Moldova have been placed in quarantine since the beginning of the academic year, after several teachers or students have confirmed for COVID-19.
At the same time, in some schools in the districts of Anenii Noi, Basarabeasca, Călărași, Cahul, Edineț, Ialoveni, Ocnița, Straseni, Ștefan Vodă and in Chisinau, one or several classes were placed in isolation. The information was confirmed for Publika.MD by Natalia Grâu, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research.
Also, the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Education told us that the gymnasium in Luceşti village, Cahul district, is in quarantine for 14 days, after three teachers got infected with COVID-19.
Natalia Grâu also informed us that two kindergartens, one in Bălți and another in Ialoveni as well as a group from a preschool institution in the Capital are closed for 14 days.
Publika reminds that on September 1, all schools in Moldova resumed their educational process, only 596 out of 1,398 were opened in terms of kindergartens.
