Two men caught attempting to smuggle cigarettes to Romania at Sculeni customs
Sculeni Border Police Officers have discovered over 10 000 cigarettes, which two man attempted to illegally transport to Romania, hidden in the tank of the vehicle they were driving.
Using information provided by a risk analysis, border officers have requested customs inspectors to carefully search the two vehicles, where they have managed to find in the tank of a Ford Galaxy and te ceiling of a Nissan Primera, 10 320 cigarettes of various brands.
According to the law, the goods, worth 4 457 lei, were confiscated while the two men received total fines of 20 000 lei.
