The number of healthcare workers who have tested positive for the coronavirus reaches 1222 after 25 confirmed cases yesterday, the Ministry of Health has announced. 

According to statistics, the most at risk for illness are nurses. To date, 454 cases of the new coronavirus cases have been reported.

Coronavirus has claimed the lives of 11 medical workers since the pandemic began. The last death was announced on May 10. The victim was a 72-year-old surgeon from Ceadir-Lunga district.
