Ministry of Health: Over 5,000 patients to benefit of free treatment of hepatitis

About five thousand patients with hepatitis B, C and D will benefit of antiviral treatments offered for free by the Ministry of Health. For this purpose, 70 million lei will be spent from the state budget. Health Minister Ruxandra Glavan has visited some of the beneficiaries, to convince herself that they have received medication.
"I want to wish you good health and trust in the medical team" , said Ruxanda Glavan.
Authorities say that the number of patients to receive free treatment will increase in the future.
So far, about 2,500 patients have received the antiviral treatment.
