Donate blood and give life. A campaign with this slogan was held today, March 1st, in several regions of the country.

The Health Minister Ruxandra Glavan was among the donors and has urged people to be receptive and donate blood because they have the power to save lives. 

"We should unite and voluntary participate at blood donation. We never know. We might find ourselves in an unpredictable situation and might need the same support fromanyone" , said Health Minister Ruxandra Glavan.

The donors receive a food package and a medical certificate for two days, according to the legislation. Every year in our country, more than 80,000 blood donations are registered, which allows 130,000 transfusions.
