Minister of Internal Affairs on Police Development Strategy at meeting of Moldova-EU Association Council
During the period from March 31st to April 1st, 2017, the Minister of Internal Affairs is part of the governmental delegation of Moldova led by Prime Minister Pavel Filip, who participates in the third meeting of the Association Council EU - Moldova in Brussels, Belgium .
The progress of the Moldovan authorities in implementing the Association Agreement Moldova - EU and results achieved in its cooperation with international organizations were discussed at the official meeting.
The Minister of Internal Affairs Alexandru Jizdan spoke in his speech at the event about the Police Development Strategy for the years 2016-2020, which provides for a modern police service of best EU standards and practices, about the need to implement dual system public order and security, but also national strategy for public order and security for the years 2017-2020 which aims to strengthen protection of the individual, society and state security.
However, the Minister of Internal Affairs emphasized that all reforms, development and modernization initiatives taking place within the system in our country, are directed to the benefit of citizens.
Also, priorities of the implementation of the Association Agreement were outlined for the next period.
The Association Agreement is a tool to reinforce the institutional and management development, including contributing to the modernization of the institution.
