Prime Minister Pavel Filip held a meeting with Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, who is also Vice President of the European Commission, during his visit to Brussels.
Pavel Filip and Federica Mogherini reviewed the internal developments in Moldova, including the main achievements in implementing the Association Agenda 2014-2016 and exchanged views on development of cooperation within the Eastern Partnership.
The Prime Minister expressed the firm determination of the Moldovan government to implement the reforms agreed with the International Monetary Fund and the EU, pointing out as priorities the public administration and the pension system reforms:
"Evaluations, both positive and critical, are useful in promoting fair reforms internally and help us in making progress. We will consider the recommendations from the EU, as those stated in the recent report, so the ones identified in the process of negotiating the Association Agenda" , said Pavel Filip.
At the end of the meeting, Pavel Filip and Federica Mogherini signed an Agreement between the European Union and Moldova on security procedures for exchanging and protecting classified information, aiming to help strengthening of bilateral cooperation in the protection of classified information.
