Head of State, Igor Dodon has made the declaration that he shall not sign the order for the new Defense Minister, if the candidate will be suggested by a political party.

The decision was made after Parliament's speaker, Andrian Candu, claimed that someone was already elected for this position, but the name will be made known to the public on a later date.

"For a while now, the Government has not spoken on this matter. It is a great mistake when someone is trying to turn an institution, or another for their own political gain. I will use my jurisdiction and refuse to hire this person".
