October 5th is the Teacher Day annually celebrated to express appreciation towards professors. 

Premier Pavel Filip has congratulated the teachers on this occasion during the government meeting. 

"I wish all professors further success, health, achievements. We know the problems in this field, Mrs. Babuc and we have to face these challenges, " declared Prime Minister Pavel Filip. 

Likewise, the official insisted on the support towards teachers. 

"A month ago, we raised teachers' salaries, new signal that we are concerned about education. We all understand the fundamental role of the education system in the country's economic and social development. By investing in education and supporting teachers, we ensure a better future for country, "the prime minister added.

PUBLIKA.MD recalls that starting this autumn, teachers receive higher wages. Teachers from kindergarten, gymnasiums, high schools and vocational schools earned more money by over 11 percent.
