Romania always stand by the Moldovan people, Romanian Ambassador to Moldova Daniel Ioniță declared at the welcoming event for Romania's coronavirus aid for Moldova.
"This's important for the relations between Romania and the Republic of Moldova. An immense joy. 20 trucks with humanitarian assistance, medicines, equipment, from the Government of Romania for Moldova, to help the Moldovan citizens to overcome the pandemic successfully.
It is a gesture of solidarity with Moldova. Romania has been with and will always stand by the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, beyond the European path we want to achieve. I think it is important that we are with the authorities of the Republic of Moldova", said Ambassador Daniel Ioniță.
Romania's coronavirus aid for Moldova, worth 3.5 million euros, has reached Chisinau this morning.
Humanitarian aid consists of 500,000 protective masks, 25,000 coveralls, five thousand visors and goggles, 200,000 gloves, 2,800 medicine boxes, 80,000 liters of sanitary alcohol.
Corneliu Groza, the head of the Border Police and the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection also attended the welcoming event at the Leușeni customs.
Previously, Romania sent 52 doctors to help the Moldovan medical system.
