First time in Moldova: Two women got pregnant after having kidney transplant surgeries
After undergoing a kidney transplant, two women from Chisinau fulfilled their dreams to become a mother. This would have been impossible if the women would have continued the treatment through dialysis.
Maria Moga and Elena Schiopu are the first women from Moldova who could get pregnant after receiving kidney transplants.
The future mothers say that the pregnancies are going well and they are living the most wonderful moments.
During 2016, 15 persons underwent kidney transplant surgeries. Presently, in the waiting list are 15 women, 11 of them being in the fertile period. After the surgery, they could have the change to give birth.
