The epidemiological situation in Gagauzia was discussed today by President Igor Dodon and the Governor of Gagauzia, Irina Vlah.

"I had a working meeting with Irina Vlah, the Governor of Gagauzia.

We discussed issues related to the socio-economic development of the region, paying special attention to the unfavorable epidemiological situation amid fears of a potential second wave of COVID-19 contamination. Currently, the biggest outbreaks of infection are in Comrat and Ceadir-Lunga districts.

According to Ms. Vlah, additional support is needed in medical institutions in Gagauzia to provide medical personnel and equipment. However, the regional administration keeps the situation under control, and the central authorities guarantee the necessary assistance in combating the epidemic ", said the President of the Republic of Moldova, Igor Dodon.
