Over 1,300 students have been enrolled on budget places in universities last year.

According to the Ministry of Education, the students had outstanding academic grades in the 2015-2016 school year and has been free from tax.

Most of them are studying at the Technical University of Moldova and State University of Moldova.

In total, over 100,000 budget places have been offered for 5,000 student from the first and second year, this year.

The competition is organized for the third consecutive year, and the Ministry of Education claim that there is an increase in interest from students to keep their budget places.
