The fourth edition of the National Grape Festival has unfolded in the southern town of Cimişlia. The event joined together vine-growers from 18 districts, who displayed their harvest.
Premier Pavel Filip has also attended the festival. He has urged the wine-growers to continue their work by using new technologies enhancing the output.
Pavel Filip has reiterated the Government’s support for launching competitive businesses in the area: “The grapes have become the pillar of the country brand, and the wine-making sector is an important branch of the national economy."
The Grape Festival aims at promoting the production and consumption of grapes and at easing commercial links among farmers and foreign partners.
The event has grown to a national level for the first time this year, as a festival of the Moldovan grape will be organized for the first time in Poland in September this year.
