Today we celebrate the World Tourism Day, an occasion that I would like to convey sincere congratulations to all working in this domain.

United Nations declared 2017 as International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development. Therefore, we have the responsibility for promoting this activity to make our society a better place, full of understanding and well-being.

This sector contributes to the sustainable development of the national economy by providing new jobs, rehabilitating infrastructure and developing domestic trade. Thus, tourism development, stimulation of enterprise activities in the field is one of priorities conducted by government. 

For our country, tourism is an additional opportunity to attract investment and become competitive on this market in the region.

I sincerely believe that through joint efforts we can make tourism in Moldova a prosperous branch, and our country will become a tourist attraction in the region.
