US embassy announces new round of small grant contest for NGOs
The U.S. Embassy in Moldova announces call for proposals for projects whose purpose is to further the development of democracy and civil society in Moldova, Infotag reports.
Experienced Moldovan Civil Society Organizations are invited to participation in it. The Embassy will give priority to projects focusing on restoring confidence in Moldova’s European path by communicating the benefits and results of this trajectory and bridging divides in society by promoting unity, civic engagement, and grassroots demand for accountable governance.
The program does not support: Humanitarian assistance or charitable activities; health projects, political or partisan activities; scientific research; conferences and/or individual trips abroad; trade activities.
The award period of projects should be of 6-12 months. Authors of best projects may rely on grants worth US$10 thousand to US$100 thousand.
