The elderly had opportunity to embrace all issues, as well as get answers from leader of PDM, Vlad Plahotniuc, in a meeting with organization for senior people, "Nation's Treasure"(Tezaurul Națiunii)

The festive meeting of the Organization was dedicated to the National Day of Old Persons, marked annually on 1st October.

The meeting took place at the headquarters of the Democratic Party of Moldova, attended by more than 50 elderly people from several localities.

PDM leader Vlad Plahotniuc highlighted the importance of the elders. 

"First and foremost, I want to send gratitude for the work you're doing, for your support, your dedication, your commitment to the work of the Democratic Party. Whatever we do in our core business,regardless of how successful we are in various activities and fields, we will always lack wisdom, which can only be acquired with time "said PDM chairman Vlad Plahotniuc.

Vlad Plahotniuc added that the Democratic Party members would continue to offer the elderly good advice, and stressed on coming intense work.

"We have parliamentary elections next year and we will win, but we have to work a lot, we have to be a strong team. That's how my granddad and my father taught me and since then I can not stop, "said PDM chairman Vlad Plahotniuc.

Deputies and members of the cabinet of ministers attending the event assured that older people remain a priority for the current government.

"We hope that you have appreciated what we have done with pensions. We are trying to develop as many community-based care services for the elderly as possible. We have great ambitions to work on the Lifelong Learning Program", said the Minister of Health, Social Protection, Stela Grigoraş.

The seniors thanked the party leadership for caring. They are convinced to be just as active as if they were young. 

"We want people to realize that the elderly people in the Nation's Treasury are not simple silhouettes that go through the world as a shadow, but they are the fruit of the tree of life," said the chairman of  organization, Nina Turcan.

The Organization of Older Persons created by PDM was founded in 2011.
