Moldovan women diagnosed with breast cancer who underwent mastectomy will benefit from free prostheses. The Oncology Institute has begun the distribution of 1,500 prosthesis, purchased this year.
To qualify for an external prosthesis, women should consult their doctor, in order for him to investigate the woman and determine the dimensions of the prosthesis.
The prosthes will be released the same day.
Women who can not visit their doctor at the Institute of Oncology, because health will receive prostheses in residential area.
The Oncology Institute has performed annually, over 700 surgeries for removal of breasts.
Annually, more than 400 women die from breast cancer.
