Seven schools and nurseries from western district of Ungheni, heated by green energy

Seven schools and nurseries from Ungheni district gave up the energy from natural gases or coal and started using biomass energy.
The contract signed by Ungheni district with the Green Energo company insures the energy will be delivered at a price of MDL750 lei/Gigacalorie. The district council received a grant of MDL2,132,000 from the European funds within the Energy and Biomass Project.
After Leova, Ungheni is the second district top launch a public-private partnership regarding the thermal energy from biomass.
The company is now managing 5 biomass energy plants, set up with the financial support of the European Union, and has built two more plants.
